Threats to Internal Security of India

I wrote a blog on the sustainable solution to the problems like Naxalism and Terrorism(a general blog not specifically on naxalism). And now writing this blog on the threats to Indian Internal security. One is obvious and you all will agree that it is naxalism.

And the second is the Indian Police. Now, this may be a bit controversial and some, or may be the most of you can say that it is not true and the Indian police is very helping in nature, it is very friendly and you can say that it is there to establish peace in the nation. Or probably you can also say that your interaction with an Indian policeman has been very good if it ever happened.

Now, let's think that how the opinion changes from person to person. In my opinion there are two reasons of it

1. There may be few policemen who are good in nature. ( but then how many are good is also a question, worth considering).
2. Then the opinion regarding police changes on the basis of whether one belongs to India or one belongs to Bharat.

People in India may find the behavior of Indian police good because people of India are IAS, IPS officers or they have friends who are IAS, IPS , politicians and businessmen. So the police behaves nicely with them.

But then there are people of Bharat with whom the behavior of police is not good because they don't have any relative who is IAS, IPS or a politician. To people of India police is very scary thing, something to which they never want to interact with.

According to a debate in the Times of India 83% people say that police are predators not protectors while 17% believe the opposite.

I think this is related to my dividing opinion regarding police, on the basis of people who belong to India or Bharat that is people who are rich and who aren't.

According to twocircles.net every second encounter by Indian police is fake. And from 1993 onwards there are 1224 cases against police of fake encounter.

While according to a link( I don't remember) so far (almost in 40 years) naxalites have killed almost 6000 Indians.

While police have 1224 cases of fake encounters against them in last 17 years so if we multiply the number by two to calculate the number of fake encounters by in last 34 years it comes out to be 2448 and for 6 more years let's add 432 then the sum is 2880.

That is the number of people killed by Indian police is 48% of ( approx 50%) the number of people killed by naxalites.

Which indicates police killed one Indian on every two Indians by naxalites.

I call the Indian police a threat to our system because it's behavior creates frustration and anger in young minds(at least of Bharat) against the system which at times results in some violent actions.
